Prakriti is a group of young environment-development professionals that has been working in the Himalayan Mountains of India since it's organization in year 1997, towards increasing environmental threats in the Himalayan region. Legal Status Prakriti is formally registered as a nonprofit voluntary organization with government, and mainly works in Himalayan Mountains in three core areas of Research, Capacity building and Advocacy. Team Prakriti team consists of seasoned professionals and researchers, from various scientific and developmental background in environment protection, agriculture, education, livelihood, forest and water resources. It's members usually write on various contemporary issues in science and social development at various developmental forums, and are involved in various developmental processes in Himalayan region and beyond.
