[Gajendra] Rautela, has contributed largely towards expanding the work of Prakriti in different parts of Uttarakhand. He is among the driving forces behind every initiative of Prakriti and keeps the momentum on with his energetic and down to earth functioning. He studied Social Sciences and Education, and extensively worked in rural development and low cost agriculture technologies for over 13 years in the mountains of India and Nepal. A master trainer and dynamic personality, he is responsible for implementing the program of Prakriti. Rautela holds the position of Community Development Specialist at Prakriti and specializes in program related to agricultural technologies, capacity building and education promotion. He is the Co-Convener of Climate Himalaya Initiative and manages the Secretariat at Prakriti Head Office.
[Bhawna] Maheshwari, is the founder members of Prakriti group.
She is trained in in Water and Sanitation issues. A scholar in environmental sciences (India), waste engineering (UK) and ecological sanitation (Sweden) she specializes in technical aspects related to rural and urban sanitation, EcoSan and drinking water supply. She has been involved in policy and planning related issues with a number of government and UN agencies for last 13 years. Bhawna plays key advisory role in developing the program frame in EcoSan and sanitation related projects to Prakriti. She is member to a number of national and international water and sanitation groups.
[Dinesh] Rana, is among the founder members of Prakriti group and holds the position of Agriculture Specialist. He has masters in environmental sciences, and mostly worked on community development and rural agriculture issues in last 12 years. During Prakriti's initial phases Dinesh remained the driving force in leading the initiatives of Prakriti group in Uttarakhand with the support of a number of professionals and experts in forestry, agriculture and environment sectors. Dinesh specializes in agri promotion and community health aspects.
[Kailash] Chand Thapliyal, a Civil Engineer 'Water Resources' by profession, joined Prakriti group in 2003. He specializes in technical aspects of rural water supply, sanitation and waste water treatment designing. With his 12 years of experience in rural and urban development sector, Kailash takes lead in developing the designs and cost estimation of community based water, sanitation and waste water projects.

Kashinath [Vajpai], is among the founder members of Prakriti group and played key role in the strategic visioning and establishing it in 1997. As Environmental Specialist he contributes in the outreach planning of Prakriti. He studied environmental sciences (India), environmental law (India), IWRM planning (Canada), Sustainable Mountain Development (Italy), Partnership Brokering (UK) and has been working in environment sector for over a decade. Vajpai specializes in partnership building, research and program aspects of water and environmental conservation. His areas of present work include project planning in integrated water resource management, environmental impact assessment issues and environment development in mountains. He is the Convener and Theme Leader for 'Climate Himalaya Initiative' and actively involved in developing the first phase of partnership among various stakeholders. He is member to many national and international-water, sanitation and environment groups.
[Vineeta] Kumar, joined Prakriti group in 2003. She holds the position of Vice Chair and specializes in administrative and management issues in agriculture and rural development projects. With her more than 22 years of experience in rural development sector, Vineeta is instrumental in guiding the teams at Prakriti in many project aspects and contributed largely through her networking and management skills. She is honorary member to a number of institutions in India.
[Lalita], is among the active player and tireless supporter of Prakriti group, who voluntarily contributed in many awareness generation, technical support, advocacy and training program of the group. An educationist by profession with more than 13 years of experience, she has artistic bent and supported many innovative programs at Prakriti since 2003.
Pritam [Apchhyan], is among the founders members of Prakriti group and lead the initiatives till 2003 in Uttarakhand in expanding the outreach of the group through grass root level initiatives. After his education in environmental sciences, Pritam was writing in print media on environment and development issues in mountain region, is now associated with various educational institutions in Uttarakhand, India.
